Titty Tuesday

Spring, 2023

Titty Tuesday 2023

The stoke is high with anticipation of dirt and the Velo Crew couldn't be more excited.

Who

Anyone that identifies as a woman and wants to play bikes. If you are new to mountain
biking, this is for you. If you want to improve your skills so that you feel safer, this is for you.
If you want to meet some new friends and learn about local trails, this is for you.

What

It's a trail ride to gain skill and experiences in mtbing. It's a place to learn, share and make
connections on the trail and in the forest.

When and Where

Beginning of April

A gathering of volunteers. If you have a love of mountain biking and want to help out, this is
for you. Last season this was in the form of a trail ride (very social), watch social media for
updates and location as we wait to see how the trails dry out.

Saturday May 7 (I know SATURDAY)

Let’s come together and celebrate International Women's Mountain Bike Day. This will be a
great way to celebrate our community with a group ride or clinic. Start time and location to be
determined, we are waiting to see when the snow leaves and how the trails are.

What to Bring

Bike

Just like tools in a shop, certain bikes are meant for certain types of riding. For Titty Tuesday
rides, you will need to be on either a Mountain Bike or Cross-over Hybrid Bike. We want you
to ride and feel as safe as possible. If you are unsure if your bike is meant for the trails, call
or bring your bike to the shop.
You are responsible for maintaining a safe bike. Do a complete safety check before riding. If
you are unsure how, stop by the shop and we can help you out!

Helmet

Helmets are mandatory for this ride. Check your helmet for cracks, chips, discolouration, and
age (a helmet's lifespan is 3-5 years even without any crashes). If you find any of the listed
issues and/or might think your helmet is compromised in other ways, please bring it by the
shop before a ride. We are more than happy to help you out.

Riding Attire

Wear comfortable clothing to ride in and dress for the weather! If you have any questions on
what to wear don’t hesitate to call or stop by the shop. We are happy to help you out!

Water & Snacks

Hydration and Energy. Need we say more? : )

Bug Repellent

This is a summer ride in the woods in northern Ontario! Make sure NOT to get it on your
helmet.

A Positive Attitude

Staying positive on the trail is important! We have a tendency to compare ourselves with
others and get mad at ourselves for things we cannot control. Just remember, you are
AWESOME and are better than you were the day before. We are here for fun and fun only!

This is a NO DROP RIDE, no one left behind! Check out the ride groups and choose your
own adventure, please meet and understand all the ride requirements. If you have any
questions please reach out, danielle@velorution.ca or call the shop.(705)253-9388
